Han Seo-hee's statement is unacceptable"... Yang Hyun-suk, 'acquitted' after 1 year

Former YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk, has been acquitted . According to the judgment issued by the 23rd Division of the Criminal Agreement of the Seoul Central District Court on the morning of the 22nd, Yang hyun suk who was previously indicted for ignoring drug investigation for former iKON member B.I,  was acquitted in the first trial

The judge stated, “There is insufficient evidence to conclude that the accused threatened the victim by notifying the victim of specific and direct harm.”

In 2016, Yang Hyun-suk was accused of trying to end the investigation of former ikon member B.I by threatening and coaxing informant Han Seo-hee. Han Seo-hee reported through the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission in 2019 that there was external pressure from YG and Yang Hyun-suk in reversing her statement against the former ikon member.

At the time, Han Seo-hee said that Yang Hyun-suk threatened and coerced her, saying, &I can see all the statements,&It's not even a matter of killing you in the entertainment industry alone and If you reverse your statement, I will give you a reward and appoint a lawyer for you.

He denied charges of attempting to cover up B.I.’s drug scandal in his trial in 2021, stating that he never threatened or forced the informant to make a false statement. Most recently, the prosecution demanded a three-year prison sentence for Yang of his involvement in B.I’s drug case.

However, after about a year and 13 trials, the judge acquitted Yang Hyun-suk. This is because there was not enough evidence that he gave the informant enough fear to  lose her freewill to testify

In addition, based on the fact that Han Seo-hee had mentioned specific compensation price of 500 million won,  it was judged that, &If the witness requested a price, it cannot be said that she was intimidated by yang hyun-suk

Meanwhile, B.I admitted to drug charges in 2019 and withdrew from the group ikon.  In September of last year, he was sentenced to 4 years probation (with 3 years in prison if he violates his probation) , 80 hours of community service, 40 hours of drug treatment lectures, and an additional fine of 1.5 million won for charges of smoking marijuana three times and buying LSD.

On the other hand, In 2016 Han Seo-hee was sentenced to 3 years in prison and 4 years of probation for smoking hemp with Big Bang's Top and others.   While on her probation, she was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months for taking methamphetamine, for which she remains in prison. In July of last year she was caught using methamphetamine while she was on trial. In September she was sentenced to six months in prison, but she appealed.
